Courses Details

At present there are two courses leading to award of National Diploma in Teaching at the Pulathisipura National College of Education.

1. Primary Education
2. Agriculture and Food Technology Education

Each these courses have the following three major components,

1. Professional area of study
2. Special area of study
3. General area of study

Prospective teachers who are aspiring to Primary teachers have a specially designed structure to their course that includes five subjects namely Primary Mathematics, Environment related activities, First language ( සිංහල ) , Second language ( தமிழ் ), and English.
